Day 1: Transfer from Arusha/Dar-es-salaam to Mahale Mountains National Park

Leave your hotel in Arusha or Dar-es-salaam for Mahale Mountains National Park after breakfast. You will take a boat and arrive at the park early to check in at your lodge for lunch. After, you will have a short chimpanzee trek in the jungles of Mahale National Park and later, return to relax, dine and spend a night at Nkungwe Tented Camp which is perched along the shores of Lake Tanganyika.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and boat tour in Mahale Mountains National Park

Have breakfast early in the morning and later, begin your trek to see chimpanzees in Mahale National Park. You will be accompanied by an experienced park ranger guide who will be explaining to you about the behaviors of the chimpanzees, interpret to you their unique body gestures. As well, expect to see other primates, birds and a lot more which will make your tour a memorable one. Your afternoon will be spent on enjoyable boat tour which lets you sight variety of birds and other wildlife species. Dine and spend a night at Nkungwe Tented Camp.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and fishing trip along Lake Tanganyika

Have breakfast and after, embark on chimpanzee trekking for the second time. Later, get back to enjoy your lunch and then set off for fishing trip on Lake Tanganyika. Return to relax, dine and spend a night at Nkungwe Tented Camp.

Day 4: Return to Arusha/Dar-es-salaam.

Rise up early to have breakfast and after, check out of your lodge. You will relax at the beach and after, connect to the airport for you to fly back which marks the end of your 4 days Mahale chimpanzee tracking tour.
